Jenny & Chris {April Wedding at Carillon Beach}

Jenny & Chris are high school sweethearts, and in every picture it’s beyond evident that they both just adore each other. Jenny, a wedding planner from It Takes Two Events in Atlanta, knew exactly what she wanted  from working in this crazy industry! As we sat through long vendor appointments planning their special day, Chris was such a trooper! He was the perfect groom to work with, making Jenny giggle to keep her calm through all these decisions! Jenny loved the simplicity of the Meeting House and had to have her ceremony there. She didn’t need any decor to add to it, but our amazing event designer from Myrtie Blue had a few surprises up his sleeve just for the happy couple!

Jenny and Chris at Carillon Beach Weddings 1

Dear Wesleyann captured this couple’s classy style perfectly. After shooting their engagement session in the winter, Jenny and Chris felt right at ease with Wesleyann on their wedding day! I just adore Jenny’s happy smile in this picture!

Jenny and Chris at Carillon Beach Weddings 2

The weather couldn’t have been more perfect for these two! After having an iffy winter here in Florida, it was a nice break to have the sun shine brightly for this sweethearts!

Jenny and Chris at Carillon Beach Weddings 3

Brian Watson from Mytrie Blue did a fabulous job on her bouquet as well! We love the pops of the light pink anemones with the dark violet centers! Did we mention how stunning she look on the right?! Our favorite walkover #7 is the perfect bright white backdrop for her flowing dress!

Jenny and Chris at Carillon Beach Weddings 4

Of course the brilliant Wesleyann came up with this creative setting for their “almost” first look! Jenny and Chris wrote letters to each other and read them in the Carillon Post Office right before the ceremony. This picture describes both of their personalities perfectly, with Chris’ note for Jenny ripped out of a spiral notebook and Jenny’s a petite, clean piece of paper.

Jenny and Chris at Carillon Beach Weddings 6

We absolutely adore this picture! The smallest of gestures are always the sweetest.

Jenny and Chris at Carillon Beach Weddings 7

I just love the way the sunshine hits Jenny’s veil and sparkly studs in this picture!  Getting to know this couple has been such a joy, and we almost didn’t want their last wrap up meeting to come!  We wish Jenny and Chris only the best for their many years to come!

Jenna & Joseph {October Wedding at Carillon Beach}

This darling couple certainly had their fair share of “wedding obstacles” to overcome, but the end result was just perfect! Jenna and Joseph married at our famous beach walkover (# 7 of course!) and entertained their guests for the reception on the Village Green. Originally, we were hired as their planners in Seagrove, but their venue fell through and Carillon Beach was the perfect replacement. The weather couldn’t have been more ideal, with the clouds making a gorgeous background for photos.
Jenna and Joseph at Carillon Beach 1

Nouveau, the event designer, captured Jenna and Joseph’s personality to the T! We loved the fabric draping attached to the twigs for their ceremony, and the subtle pattern added that extra “oomph” and texture!

Jenna was absolutely stunning! Her layered pearl necklaces were the ideal accessory for her destination J.Crew wedding dress!

Paul Johnson Photography was able to capture this incredible moment just as she ascends the aisle with her dad. Needless to say, it took a little more effort and climbing in the brush to get this beautiful picture!

Their fun personalities were definitely shown in these pictures! Those pearly white smiles are all you need to see  how much these two love each other!

The cafe lights lining the wooden dance floor were subtly glowing throughout the night. The lounges made the perfect spot for a quick dancing break!

Jenna and Joseph at Carillon Beach 16

Confections on the Coast made her a fun, topsy-turvy bridal cake! And of course you can’t have a grooms cake without it being decked out in sports! Their family is the exact definition of a house divided, with one of the oldest rivalries in the South!

Jenna and Joseph at Carillon Beach 17

Lilac tablecloths complimented the driftwood and candle tablescapes, giving the decor a coastal feel. For a personalized touch, her “something blue” was an embroidered patch sewn into her J. Crew wedding dress.

Gina & John {September Wedding at Carillon Beach}

This memorable Italian wedding was destined for greatness! After choosing Carillon Beach for their destination wedding, everyone was able to come together from all over the Southeast {from Boca Raton to Tennessee} to plan this beautiful event. It was so much fun bringing the feel of Tuscany to the Emerald Coast!  Gina & John were such a fun couple with fun quirks and details {wait until you see the Yoohoo cake!}.

Gina and John at Carillon Beach

There’s nothing better than having your mom by your side as you get ready for your big day, and an added bonus of a perfect view of the Gulf!

Gina and John at Carillon Beach

The details were all in place as we anxiously awaited the arrival of their 70 guests.

Gina and John at Carillon Beach

With a larger bridal party in the Meeting House, it’s often best to split the groomsmen and the bridesmaids on each side. This makes it less of a tight squeeze in the Meeting House. Of course, good ol’ Rev. Harry Houseman always puts everyone at ease!

Gina and John at Carillon Beach

Ahh… the lighting was just perfect on these newlyweds! John & Gina had a little time to kill before entering the cocktail hour, so Rae & Wesley {Rae Leytham Photography} found these perfect spots for a photo op!

Gina and John at Carillon Beach

A little wind makes for a cute, silly walkover picture! I love moments like these!

Gina and John at Carillon Beach

It’s hard to beat our beautiful beaches at sunset!

Gina and John at Carillon Beach

Gina’s head table was completely breath-taking. Nothing says “Tuscany” more than grape leaf vines and romantic, candlelit lanterns. The vintage French pottery added a perfect, European touch!

Gina and John at Carillon Beach

Wine bottle chandeliers were impressively hung inside the tent. The dark wooden pergolas were custom-built to house her head table, and all the little surprises in between. Naturally, yummy olive oil and spices were placed at each table for dipping the French baguettes into.  It certainly created the cozy mealtime that Gina was going for!

Gina and John at Carillon Beach

After that killer dinner, it was cake cutting time! This beautiful work of art by Rhonda {Confections on the Coast} came with another fun treat for the groom! Although not an alcohol drinker, his friends know him for his love of Yoohoo consumption. It was such a great addition to the wedding smiles!

Gina and John at Carillon Beach

I think everyone got a kick of how realistic the Yoohoo cans really looked!

Gina and John at Carillon Beach

As the couple snuck away for a few alone-moments by the fountain, the guests continued their heavy dancing and fun with DJ Paul! This is just beautiful!

It was a sparkling ending to John & Gina’s wedding day! Congrats Mr. & Mrs. Bell! {cue the jingles!}

Allie & Mark {June Wedding at Carillon Beach}

Over the years, it has been so much fun watching brides come from all over the world to celebrate their destination weddings with us in Florida.  This year we were honored to coordinate 4 of our own Carillon Beach homeowner’s weddings!  We got to hear stories of them growing up and visiting their Carillon homes for family vacations.  We also got to hear them mention how they would bring friends along, and would sneak through our wedding events, hoping one day they would also get married in Carillon Beach.  One of our gorgeous brides, Allie, was able to do just that…

Allie now lives in Charleston, SC, but was happy to be back in Florida for her wedding. Another plus side to getting ready in her family home, was being calm and collected throughout the entire day!  It was nice to get ready in a familiar home with well known surroundings. When we walked into the house, Allie was getting pampered by Two Fishes Artistry, and should couldn’t have looked more relaxed. Her beautiful bouquet of pink peonies, tulips, garden roses and freesia was to-die for!

You can tell Mark fell in love with that infectious laugh! You could tell her excitement as she finished up some of her last minute details. Allie and Mark chose to have a small bridal party with only a matron of honor and a best man. It was decided that it would be the least stressful and simple choice for their intimate celebration.

When we first met Allie & her mother Nancy to sit and plan her dream wedding, we joked that having retired General as a father, Allie would never marry a military guy… She seemed to prove herself wrong as her handsome ‘Major Oberson’ waited for her at the end of the aisle. You could tell just how proud her father was as he walked down his only daughter.

With Ret. military chaplain, Rev. Harry Houseman as the officiant, the Meeting House was filled with proud members of the US military that evening.

As soon as the ceremony was over, we took the newlyweds into the Promenade for a few quick photos. I just love this shot of Allie and Mark! Plus, who doesn’t love those ‘something blue’ Badgley Mischka’s?!

A timeless organically elegant look was captured throughout their reception.

Nouveau’s pergolas and mahogany chiavari chairs brought such a perfect sense of romance to Allie’s tented reception.

The cake was perfectly paired with the decor of the wedding. It complimented every aspect of her event. The lounge area was illuminated by Nouveau’s bottle chandelier and accented by a bold, damask print.

For the reception, Allie removed her veil and replaced it with a whimsical, white flower. The guests also enjoyed passed champagne with chambord and a fresh raspberry garnish. Now that’s what I call a HAPPY BRIDE! 🙂

Delicious details from Townsend Catering. Mark & Allie chose to go with a station menu to encourage their guests to stroll around and enjoy the great company.

Allie’s proud parents toasted the new couple to kick off the evening. Everyone danced the night away as Meet the Press band wow’d the crowd! Congratulations to Allie & Mark! We can’t wait to see you on your visits to Carillon!

Amy & Gary {May Wedding at Carillon Beach}

I must say that I have really been looking forward to posting this wedding.  I’m fairly certain that Amy is one of THE sweetest people I have ever met.  She was literally the opposite of a “bride-zilla”, which was one of the first phrases out of her mouth while planning her wedding.  “I really am not picky, I trust you guys and I do not want to be a bridezilla!”  Now, if this isn’t a wedding planner’s dream bride, I don’t know what is?!  As a trained dancer from FSU, her elegance and grace was apparent throughout her big day.  Amy’s appreciation for classical music, as well as great dance music, really gave her guests something to enjoy!  She knew immediately that she wanted to go from a full quartet for her ceremony and cocktail hour, to a great DJ who really knew how to keep the guests dancing!  I know I learned a few steps as she taught us all how to “Dougie!”  I hope you enjoy Amy & Gary’s wedding as much as we loved being there for it.  Don’t forget to catch the fantastic trailer at the end.  But first, I love starting out with a few of her adorable engagement session shots in Apalachicola, FL!…

Lady Love…

We like boots with a ‘tude on this sweet, Southern gal! You’d better hold on to this one, Gary!

Wedding Time.

Ooh La La! What gal doesn’t love dressing up in Louboutins & Vera Wang on her wedding day?!  This classically beautiful bride made an easy transition from quiet & sweet, to sassy & glamorous!

Perfect little details surrounded Amy’s big day. We just loved how her Tiffany blue and soft pinks complimented each other. Amy chose to have her paper products custom designed by the incredibly talented, Dauphine Press.

What a wonderful Etsy.com find! Amy had a personalized tag made for her amazing bouquet of orchids. We love those kinds of personal touches!

Southern belles love their peonies and Amy was no exception! They are just beautiful at this time of year. Our ballerina showed off her perfectly pointed toes as she waited to walk through the Promenade. I could not stop laughing because she kept pointing out her non-existent “kankles” from getting a bit of a sunburn earlier in the week. *Don’t kill me, Amy!* Needless to say, we had lots of laughs from her silly comments before the ceremony. To compliment her bouquet, we chose to go with simple, orchid blooms for the boutonnieres.

We just love the simplicity of the Meeting House in Carillon Beach. Keep an eye out for those same, cherub arrangements as they are transferred to the reception!

So in love! 🙂 You can almost hear her giggle through the picture.

This is one of my favorite ‘new’ ways for guests to sign a guestbook! One of their precious engagement photos was turned into a custom-designed puzzle where their guests would piece together and sign a special note to the bride and groom. A clear, double-sided frame was also included so Amy and Gary could choose to have either side showing in their home – all their signatures or their photo! I know this is a cute idea that will definitely be seen again!  ((I particularly liked the nod to the Dawgs!  As a surprise to Gary, she even had the string quartet play “Battle Hymn of the Republic” as they recessed after their ceremony.  To those fellow Georgia Fans, we all know this song as “Glory, Glory to Old Georgia”! GO DAWGS!))

Ahh, a classic first dance to Rascal Flatts’ “Bless the Broken Road”.

We all got such a kick out of Amy’s dance with her father. As a nod to their family, and her last name being the oh-so-Italian, Mutarelli… Amy chose to dance to “The Godfather Waltz” straight from the movie!

Amy’s tablescape was beautifully accented with the cherub arrangements from the Meeting House. Her look was very whimsical, but romantic. Her wedding cake was also a piece of artwork in itself.

After the ceremony, we swept them away for their sunset pictures at about 7:30. Although it was a little windy, Amy looked just gorgeous!

In the springtime, we tend to keep a look out for our lucky frog who always seems to make his appearance at our events. I’m glad he made it so close to the dance floor  because these guests were definitely dancers! A handful of the girls were part of the FSU dance team and they surely showed off their moves! After their seated buffet was over, the guests moved outside, under cafe lights to dance the night away. After a quick dress change so Amy could boogie down, everyone ooo’d and ahh’d at her perfect, short BCBG dress! She was a knockout!

It was another flawless night in Carillon Beach…  We’re so happy for this happy couple and wish them both the absolute best!

Claire & Trey {April Wedding at Carillon Beach}

Claire and Trey at Carillon Beach

Claire was such a gorgeous bride! She chose to have 2 beautiful gardenias tucked in her hair. It was the perfect Southern touch to her bridal attire.

Claire and Trey at Carillon Beach

Southern touches from head to toe! The peonies were absolutely to die for throughout April! We just loved Claire’s ruffles completely covering her dress! Flowy and romantic are two words to describe this gorgeous bridal gown.

Claire and Trey at Carillon Beach

The Meeting House was perfectly adorned with a wooden cross and giant urns with cherry blossom branches that were later transferred to the reception. The wooden cross that was hung above the windows had a strand of small white tea roses that was in loving memory of their grandparents and loved ones who had passed.  This was a sweet addition that Claire & Trey wanted to have simply recognized in their programs.

Claire and Trey at Carillon Beach

I LOVED the story of her rings! Trey had taken parts from both of his grandparents’ rings to create Claire’s gorgeous setting. It was so unique and gorgeous. I’m such a fan of sentimental rings like this! She will truly treasure this one day as an heirloom piece! Trey even had the gold melted down, then plated it in Platinum for his beautiful bride!

Claire and Trey at Carillon Beach

I adored her girly, pink cake with hundreds of little flowers everywhere! Yummy!

Claire and Trey at Carillon Beach

Sweet Southern charm. I was happy to have helped her with her escort cards and complimenting menu cards. “The menus brought the whole look together and just added a special touch to the table setting,” her mother {Donna} remarked.

Claire and Trey at Carillon Beach

How fabulous were the hanging arrangements?! Select tables had floating centerpieces that have a light, garden-feel to the blue and white tent. The flowers were Candy Bianca Roses (pale-pink), white and pale pink hydrangeas, pale blush stock, white rose and esperence roses. They were perfect!

Claire and Trey at Carillon Beach

The week before the wedding, Claire’s mother was able to have these made to accent their chairs at their sweetheart table.

Claire and Trey at Carillon Beach

The newlyweds were able to sit back and relax to the music of their Jazz Band and enjoy each other’s company.  From the start, they both claimed that they did not have a group that danced much, so we accommodated this by having a smaller dance floor and wonderful jazzy music to have for background entertainment.  The plus side of having a sweetheart table is having intimate time during your reception with your… sweetheart!

Claire and Trey at Carillon Beach

Perfect ending to a perfect night! After dinner and cake, the Jinright’s were ready to head back and get changed for a longer night of partying!

Claire and Trey at Carillon Beach

They arranged for this vintage convertible to whisk them away for the evening! Congratulations Claire & Trey! From the looks of the pictures they sent us on their honeymoon, they were having a fabulous time celebrating their new marriage!

Ashley & Mike {November Wedding at Carillon Beach}

We will always remember Ashley and Mike for their whirlwind year!  Not only did they get to end the year with the excitement of marriage, but Mike also celebrated being traded from the Cubs to the WORLD SERIES-winning Giants team!  I remember Rose Marie (Ashley’s mother) emailing us every week with: “Well, we thought they’d be finished with the season by now. We hope he can make the next bridal shower!”  Every week got pushed back from October 22nd, to the final WIN on November 1st!  Victoria and I, who ((guiltily)) don’t pay much attention to baseball, were GLUED to the TV!  We couldn’t have been more excited for them and their big win!  We knew it was a stressful process from being traded and moving cross-country mid-way through the season, but Ashley handled it beautifully!  Once they were in town for the wedding, the handsome groom said, “This is all about Ashley.” (awwwww!)  He was very set on making this a week for them to share together and to push the celebrating from the World Series aside for a new celebration!  We couldn’t have agreed more!

First, I have to post a few of Ashley’s AMAZING bridal portraits in Alys Beach with Paul & Mecheal Johnson.  She was able to come to Florida a week before the wedding to finalize details and to get some breath-taking images to display at the wedding.  This was the first chance she was able to get away!  Enjoy 🙂

Ashley in her beautiful, Vera Wang wedding gown.

LOVE these in Alys Beach 🙂

Gorgeous smile!

Let the wedding pictures begin!

Perfect little details. There were handmade flowers tied to every welcome bag that was delivered to their guests. There was a nice little note to have every lady wear her flower for their welcome dinner on Friday night! Ashley also provided coordinating flip flops at the reception so everyone could kick off their shoes and dance!

The men looked dashing in their classic, black tuxedos.

While we were waiting for the mothers to be seated, Ashley had a little time to be silly with her adorable flower girls. You could just tell how much the little girls adored her!

It melts our hearts when we have adorable flower girls and ring bearers who act like mini-bride and groom!

It was a special touch to have Edwin Caraballo, the chaplain for the Chicago Cubs, perform their wedding ceremony here in Florida.

Mike & Ashley's time away for sunset pictures was perfect! You couldn't have asked for better weather.

Rhonda wow-ed us with another awesome cake. This was a clear compliment to the flowing layers of Ashley's beautiful wedding dress.

The martini bar was their signature drink station. Donna made it look phenomenal and this was THE ONLY mention or "nod" to Mike's career - "Love Potion #14"!

Not only is this a classic, Louisiana-wedding shot, but it's also a cool view of the tent. The lights and table-scapes were awesome!

I remember watching Paul (photographer) get down on the ground while Robert (videographer) was lighting and filming Ashley's feet! Paul was really able to capture Ashley and her boogie shoes. Who doesn't love a good, customized pair of converse?!

After a nice evening of fun, dancing AND SINGING (check out their wedding video trailer!), Mike and Ashley ended with a bang! What a wonderful way to wrap up not only their baseball season, but our wedding season! It was surely a night to remember. Congrats, Mr. & Mrs. Fontenot! We can't wait to watch the Giants in the upcoming season!

Lauren & Drew {November Wedding at Carillon Beach}

Living and working in Panama City, Lauren didn’t know much about Carillon Beach.  Once she came to visit, she fell in love!  I will always remember the first time we met Lauren.  She was so incredibly excited to be marrying Drew; you could just see it in her eyes!  She literally couldn’t stop smiling and giggling!  It’s so refreshing to see such a happy, in-love bride who is thrilled to be planning her wedding to the man of her dreams.  Throughout all of her planning, and all the way to the wedding day, that spark never left her eyes.  At one point, her father even warned her that she won’t always be this animated about the wedding…  not true!  She was thrilled the entire time. A self-proclaimed work-a-holic, Lauren, was able to take a break and enjoy getting married!

lauren and drew at carillon beach

We love watching the guys getting themselves ready for the BIG DAY! We know they want to look just as great as the ladies do.

lauren and drew at carillon beach

A gorgeous, Wintery bouquet. Lauren opted to have a softly colored palette with a lot of awesome textures.

lauren and drew at carillon beach

A perfect moment. Because sunsets so early in the Winter, we wanted to make her ceremony a bit earlier (3:30pm) in order to get this phenomenal natural light! Making that final walk through the Promenade is such a special time for fathers.

lauren and drew at carillon beach

A very clean, simple ceremony is just what Lauren wanted. The arrangements that lined the aisle seats helped bring some of the red into the Meeting House.  Lauren had her own officiant from her Panama City church.  Originally, we thought Lauren might have her ceremony in the big, Presbyterian church in town, then travel to Carillon for her reception.  We are glad she chose to have everything held in Carillon so that her guests did not have to travel.  Everything was perfect – down to the weather!

lauren and drew at carillon beach

The newlyweds were just glowing 🙂

lauren and drew at carillon beach

Drew’s last name is Applegate, so subtle touches of red and green apples were used throughout the reception decor. Each table was named a different type of apple. The drapery, chandeliers, and the mahogany chiavari chairs brought elegance to the outdoor tent.

lauren and drew at carillon beach

Another gorgeous cake by Confections on the Coast! Lauren & Drew even incorporated apples into their favor. There were mini-jars of both apple and peach butter for that sweet, Southern touch.

lauren and drew at carillon beach

At her vendor appointment at Townsend Catering, Lauren made sure we knew that she liked cucumber water, not lemon water 🙂  “Crab Apple” was just one of the cute, apple-names that Lauren named each table.

lauren and drew at carillon beach

We love a great dress change! Once the dancing with Meet the Press got underway, Lauren changed into a beautiful short, BCBG dress. Aren’t they just adorable??!

lauren and drew at carillon beach

Lauren and her aunt were just so adorable together. We loved working with them both! As you can see, they both have infectious laughs that light up the room! Congrats, Lauren & Drew!

Jaclyn & Jerry {November Wedding at Carillon Beach}

After coordinating her little sister, Allison’s wedding back in March, we couldn’t wait to start the planning process with Jaclyn!  Two Pittman-weddings in one year?!  We LOVED it!  This gave us such a wonderful opportunity to work with the same family we had grown to adore.  Not many planners can say that!  It was great to see some familiar faces amongst the guests as well.  The best part of planning two sister’s weddings in one year is that we could compare just how different their styles were.  While Allison is very elegant, laid back and casual, Jaclyn’s wedding, like her personality, was a bit more ornate, glamorous & girly. 🙂  She wanted lots of flowers and a huge chandelier in the middle of her dance floor.  The entertainment even ended up being multi-faceted!  She had a classical string quartet to welcome the guests to the cocktail hour, a casual band for dining, then a more r&b/hip-hop band for the evening set (perfect for the younger, dancing crowd)!  Peruse and enjoy looking through Alli’s beautiful wedding, then compare it to Jaclyn’s wedding!  These two show you just how personalized and different our weddings are for each bride.

Jaclyn and Jerry at Carillon Beach

What a breath-taking image! For being a bit camera shy, Jaclyn photographs so well! Because Rae Leytham was expecting her twins right around the corner, there were some additional photographers to make sure every inch was covered! Check out their credits!

Jaclyn and Jerry at Carillon Beach

Jaclyn chose to have all of the Meeting House chairs removed and replaced with beautiful gold chiavari chairs. Her entire wedding was furnished with these gorgeous chairs. Large arrangements in the window brought a fabulous pop of color to the ceremony.

Jaclyn and Jerry at Carillon Beach

This was the proud daddy’s last walk down the Meeting House aisle to give his final daughter away. This Fall ceremony was beautiful as the sun started to set through the Meeting House windows.

Jaclyn and Jerry at Carillon Beach

An indescribable moment as Wes gives Jaclyn away.

Jaclyn and Jerry at Carillon Beach

A formal-attire event, Jaclyn set the tone by using timeless colors and rich fabrics.

Jaclyn and Jerry at Carillon Beach

Clear skies and no sand on their toes! Jaclyn and Jerry chose not to go down to the beach for sunset pictures, but that surely did not stop the photographers from capturing some fantastic shots!

Jaclyn and Jerry at Carillon Beach

Pretty little details! As favors, there were boxes of “bride” and “groom” truffles in every box. We decided that the escort cards would look displayed the best among the sea of truffles! Townsend Catering offered another full and delicious menu for their guests!

Jaclyn and Jerry at Carillon Beach

Unlike Allison’s wedding, Jaclyn chose to have a seated buffet. This means that their guests got all of the choices of a buffet, but the formality of a table setting. The glassware was special-ordered so that the tables looked exactly how Jaclyn imagined them.

Jaclyn and Jerry at Carillon Beach

Jaclyn revived the classic look of a fully-lined tent; something we don’t see often in Carillon.  It was gorgeous and created this wonderful ballroom-feel, while being outdoors and in a tent.

Jaclyn and Jerry at Carillon Beach

The Lanier’s first dance as a married couple was to Van Morrison’s “Crazy Love.” Isn’t that a great looking head table across the back?

Jaclyn and Jerry at Carillon Beach

A truly gorgeous and intricate cake! Jaclyn surprised us when she picked out a cake she liked from Rhonda’s books… and it was Allison’s! Rhonda took Alli’s dots as inspiration and created an intricately detailed work of art! I think Rae Leytham photography take some of the best cake pictures I’ve ever seen!

Jaclyn and Jerry at Carillon Beach

Daddy’s little girls! It was so fun for us to see this family of Carillon brides enjoying themselves twice in one year!

Jaclyn and Jerry at Carillon Beach

Their getaway car was a vintage Thunderbird that was borrowed to them by a close friend of the family. That’s certainly the way to end your night in style! Congrats, Jaclyn & Jerry!!

Katie & Matt {October Wedding at Carillon Beach}

A perfect, Fall wedding was definitely in the makings for this Phoenix, AZ couple!  It all started back in September of ’09 when Katie’s mother came to pay us a little visit.  Susie had heard from a past-Carillon Weddings MOB, that Victoria was the person to see for a perfect wedding!  We knew we were in for a treat when this very enthusiastic family graced us with their presence.  Katie knew she wanted a very relaxed, yet elegant look.  GREEN was definitely the color of the year and we took it to a whole other level!  The linens made such an amazing impact on the reception decor!  We sat with Katie and her mother and picked out some of these fabulous green linens that they envisioned with Christina at Events by Nouveau.  Apples, limes & lemons were also a very “fresh” and organic touch to their Village Green reception.

Katie and Matt at Carillon Beach

Katie’s gorgeous blue eyes really made an impact with that pretty, blonde hair! She anxiously awaited the day as she got ready in her “Permanent Vacation” rental house in Carillon Beach.

Katie’s handsome groom was finally able to see her as she walked into the Meeting House. Her light & airy ceremony set the tone for the entire day. Perfectly-placed and whimsical flowers lined the window that overlooks the lake.

Who doesn’t love multi-functional arrangements?! From the ceremony, to the dining tables… these made a seemless transition! They were perfectly paired with the mahogony chiavari chairs.

Before Katie & Matt went down for their sunset pictures, they were able to share their first dance as husband & wife! The lake was the perfect backdrop!

Green-galore! Katie opted to go from a seated dinner to a more casual, strolling-reception. The easiest way to make this transition was to take away the place cards, plan a delicious station-menu, plan great lighting over a dance floor under the stars, encourage lots of dancing with a fabulous DJ & to provide cigars to entice the gentlemen to the dance floor!!… Mission Accomplished!

Sunset during firefly season is always gorgeous! Can you spot them flying above the walkover?! What a perfect night.

A beautiful green, grapevine-inspired cake was the perfect pick!

I was completely impressed to see a wedding group that was on the dance floor the entire night!! After we were able to drag them off the Green, it was time for the sparkler send-off! The perfect end to a perfect day!
