Journey & Brian March Wedding at Carillon Beach

With this sweet as pie Texas bride, we were able to plan her wedding from afar in just ONE month! We finally met her the week of the wedding and wish we could have met her sooner! She was such a fun and happy person to be around that it showed in every detail in her wedding! Both of their families were extremely important to them, and that’s all they needed to celebrate their big day! With precious handmade details planned out for both the ceremony and reception in the Meeting House, it really showed how much this couple was loved, and Paul Johnson Photography was able to capture every moment of it!

Journey was all about keeping things simple! Her natural looking makeup done by Jamie Gummere was the perfect touch to her stud earrings. {She chose the gold ones! }

We absolutely adored every little detail Journey was able to pull together with Events by Nouveau! Her colorful bouquet below complimented her gorgeous smile!

After the ceremony, Townsend Catering helped us flip the Meeting House during the cocktail hour. The seated dinner tablescapes were complete with handmade place cards and matching blue mason jars. The burlap wrapped around the napkin was the perfect accent against the crisp white tablecloths.

Jessica Sirten from Sweet for Sirten designed this cream and white colored cake, sticking with the clean and simple feel she was going for. And of course it had to be red velvet!

Yes that is a Kate Spade cake cutter! This girl loved her Kate Spade (and we do, too!)

Sunset pictures are a must for weddings near the beach! I swear Carillon Beach has the most stunning sunsets on the Gulf of Mexico.

The toasts to the bride and groom are always unexpected! Tears of joy and laughter really brought these two families together.

Heather & Kevin {April Wedding at Carillon Beach}

This sweet couple was such a dream to work with from start to finish.  Grant it, we had planned their wedding in less than two months, Heather knew exactly what she wanted and we just adored their Meeting House ceremony and reception.  With Kevin being in the military, they were working with a very limited time schedule, which was just fine by us.  We scheduled their vendor day the same day they toured the property, so everything was planned and ready to go by the end of the day!  Heather even had time to create adorable favors for each guest.  Their small, 28-guest wedding, was perfect to assign place cards for everyone.  The place cards were small, silver “love bird” bottle openers that everyone loved!

Our beautiful bride was completely laid back and relaxed throughout the entire process. It was certainly no different on her wedding day! She relaxed while she got her hair and makeup done at her Carillon rental home, “Four To Go.”

This sparkling beauty was created by Heather! She said that not only did it take a long time to find the “just right” brooches, but it also took days to put together! She wanted to start a new tradition in her family, so she left a few loose brooches to give to a few special little girls in her life. Both mothers were also presented with a brooch from her handmade bouquet!

Heather’s wonderful son, Cody, walked his mom down the aisle. It was a great story when I found out that he was passing up his Senior prom to go on a honeymoon-cruise with Heather & Kevin. His response was that he had “already been to prom for two years!” I loved their great relationship.

Kevin made sure that all of his favorite beers were at their wedding! During the planning process, Heather knew she wanted a “wishing tree” where all their guests could write a sweet note of encouragement and well-wishes for them! They chose to have a seated dinner that was simply amazing!

After their ceremony, the Meeting House was transformed with woodgrain tables and simple, white flowers. Heather opted to rent the mahogany chiavari chairs in place of the traditional wooden chairs that are normally in the Meeting House. Everyone was able to see the newlyweds as they danced their first dance.

Right before their sunset, we snuck Heather and Kevin away for their beach pictures.

One of the best part about the trees around the Village Green/Meeting House, is the beautiful lights! Once the sun goes down, it’s instant ambiance!

A perfect night! All our best to Mr. & Mrs. Brill! Good luck on your new stationed location!

Chloe & Philip {September Wedding at Carillon Beach}

This light-hearted, Alabama couple chose to have a sweet, intimate wedding in the Carillon Beach Meeting House.  With the couple’s closest family and friends, the entire evening was filled with laughter and beautifully captured moments.

I fell in love with the gorgeous colors of this bouquet! The soft, neutral palette was perfectly fitting for this classic wedding.

We were more than pleased with the romantic and ethereal feel that was created for Chloe’s ceremony.  It could not have been more perfect for this couple. Courtney’s (Chloe’s sister) face says it all!

Neutrals were so trendy for weddings this year! We absolutely love them. The Meeting House lends itself to gorgeous neutrals and simple decor.

The Meeting House was quickly transformed to their dining room once the guests wandered outside for the cocktail hour. Upon Chloe & Philip’s return from their sunset pictures, they danced their first dance to Train’s “Marry Me.”

Dana & Nick {September Wedding at Carillon Beach}

A wonderfully sweet, Georgia couple were destined to get married in an intimate setting.  The Carillon Beach Meeting House was a perfect match for Dana and Nick.  Dana’s family owns a home in nearby, Rosemary Beach, but Carillon had just what they were looking for… a quiet location with beautiful scenery.  The soft hues and Dana’s romantic dress added to the magic of the evening.

Jenny, Dana’s wonderful mom, was just beaming with joy! Dana & Jenny were such a wonderful pair while we went through the planning process. When the day finally came, you could just see the excitement in both of their faces.

After the ceremony was over, the guests enjoyed the cocktail hour outside on the side decks. The weather was perfect for an outdoor cocktail hour! For the reception, we decided to play up the natural beauty and simplicity of the Meeting House. A pretty, neutral linen and tall arrangements helped to create a very clean, organic feel.

I love this image of the bridal party in front of The Carillon. {tidbit of knowledge}: carillon n. A stationary set of chromatically tuned bells in a tower, usually played from a keyboard. This is our Carillon… The center of the community.

Although Dana had the Wedding Music Plus trio perform from the prelude, to the ceremony, to the cocktail hour and even through dinner, Dana wanted to have her first dance with Nick to Train’s “Marry Me.”

With perfect weather, the guests were able to enjoy their dinners outside. It was pretty when the sun set and the lights on the trees transformed the entire outdoors atmosphere into something magical!

Kristen & Bo {June Wedding at Carillon Beach}

It was another beautiful day at Carillon Beach. This Mississippi, tennis-playing couple were excited about their Meeting House ceremony and reception. As everyone was setting up around her, Kristen calmly got ready in the Bella Bridesmaid shop along the market street. She was one of the most laid-back brides that I have had the pleasure of getting ready around.

The breath-taking walk through the Promenade is always said to be one of the most touching and personal moments throughout the wedding day. This is the time that Kristen gets to meet her dad as they walk, hand-in-hand, together before giving her away at the end of the aisle.

Nickie & Dan {April Wedding at Carillon Beach}

Nickie and Dan were another lucky Carillon couple that had the skies open up for them on their big day.  Although the weather teased us with rain, everyone was able to enjoy wonderful cocktails outside of the Meeting House.  Nickie and Dan chose to have both their ceremony and reception in the Meeting House.

Nickie looked absolutely gorgeous in her lace gown.  At the end of the ceremony, Dan’s father introduced the newlyweds and closed by giving them a traditional Mexican blessing.  This was such a special moment that really touched the couple.  As a surprise to the groom, his parents had an authentic Mariachi Band brought in to play as Nickie and Dan walked out of the ceremony.  It was such a wonderful surprise for everyone to hear the loud horns, strings and of course the singers as they exited the Meeting House.

What a fabulous shot captured by Inga Finch (of Inga Finch Photography)! Imagine this booming voice that was waiting and greeted the newlyweds outside of the Meeting House!

Nickie & Dan's faces said it all... He was so surprised!

Priceless!! We all stood around for a much longer time than normal just to hear the Mariachi Band!

As the mariachi band played around the side decks of the Meeting House, Townsend catering passed around delicious margarits and various Latin-inspired treats such as prosciutto-wrapped jalapenos and quesadillas... mmm.

Not only were the food and drink inspired by Mexican culture, but Rhonda's (Confections on the Coast) fabulous groom's cake was an outstanding replica of the Mexican flag. Everyone "ooo'd" and "aww'd" over this cake!

Nickie & Dan were able to sneak away with Inga (Inga Finch Photography) for their breath-taking sunset pictures. This is always such a wonderful time for the couple to enjoy each other, away from their family & friends. Our picturesque beach walkovers are the perfect place to share a kiss!

I absolutely LOVE this picture. Inga really captured the moment! What a beautiful couple!

I think the picture says it all. Inga had her eye on this location along the water's edge. It turned out to be such a magical shot! A wonderful end to a perfect night.
